Newly released footage shows the harrowing moment a Delta Flight 4819 erupted in flames and flipped upside down during a snow-covered landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport on February 17, 2025. The CRJ900 aircraft, operated by Endeavor Air, bounced violently on the runway before overturning, leaving the wreckage inverted as emergency crews rushed to evacuate passengers.

All 76 passengers and four crew members survived the crash, though 21 were hospitalized for injuries. Delta confirmed 19 individuals had been discharged by Tuesday morning. Investigators from Canada’s Transportation Safety Board (TSB), alongside the FAA and NTSB, are analyzing the video and wreckage to determine the cause. Early reports cited extreme weather conditions in Toronto prior to the incident.

Our priority remains supporting those affected and their families, said Delta CEO Ed Bastian. We’re grateful for the first responders’ swift action.

Key details include:

  • Flight origin: Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport
  • Aircraft model: Bombardier CRJ900
  • Investigation lead: Transportation Safety Board of Canada

The crash marks one of the most severe incidents at Toronto Pearson in recent years. While snow and ice are suspected factors, officials stress the probe is ongoing.
